✈️ Flying Into DFW to Pick Up Your Twilight Doodles Pup

Our Philosophy

There’s nothing quite like that first moment the one where months of anticipation melt into pure joy as you finally meet your Goldendoodle of a Lifetime. ✨ For many of my out-of-state Prepared Puppy Parents, that moment happens right here at DFW International Airport. Whether you’re flying in from across Texas or across the country, I’ll make the process simple, smooth, and special from start to finish.

🕓 Scheduling Your Flight

To make things smooth for everyone, please plan your travel around these suggested times:

  • Arrival Flight: Between 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. on your go-home day

  • Departure Flight: Between 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. that same afternoon

I’ll meet you at your departing terminal about 1½ hours before your flight so you have plenty of time to check in, purchase your puppy’s in-cabin pass, and make it back through TSA without any rush.

🐾 Meeting at the Airport

Once you land, you can relax, grab a bite to eat, or explore the terminal until it’s time for your big moment. I’ll meet you curbside at your airline’s departure area with your puppy, freshly groomed, snuggled up, and ready to fly home with you.

There’s no need to rent a car — I’ll personally handle transportation from my home to the airport, so your trip stays as easy as possible.

👜 What I’ll Bring for You

When we meet, I’ll have everything you’ll need for your flight (and then some!) so you can focus on bonding with your new pup.

Here’s what I’ll typically provide:

  • ✈️ Go-Home Bag: Filled with familiar scents, a favorite chew, and other Twilight Doodles goodies

  • 🍖 Snack Bag: A small portion of their regular food to help keep your puppy calm and content during the flight

  • 🧻 Potty Pads & Wipes: Just in case of any mid-air mishaps or quick clean-ups

Everything is thoughtfully packed to make your travel day seamless and stress-free.

🎒 Puppy Travel Carrier

You’ll need to bring (or order ahead) a soft-sided airline-approved carrier. This is the one I recommend:
👉 Travel Carrier  (17” L x 11” W x 11” H)

Please have it ready before your trip — it will make the day so much easier!

🎟️ Puppy’s “Ticket”

After I hand you your puppy, you’ll head to your airline’s ticket counter to purchase the in-cabin pet pass.

  • The fee typically ranges from $75–$120, depending on the airline.

  • You’ll receive a small tag to attach to the carrier — this is your puppy’s boarding pass.

Once you’ve taken care of that, you can pass back through TSA, find your gate, and get ready for the sweetest flight home. 🐾

⏳ Passing the Time Before Takeoff

You’ll likely have a little window of time between meeting your puppy and boarding your flight — and that’s a perfect opportunity to help your pup burn a bit of energy before settling in for the ride home.

Here are my favorite airport-tested tips:

  • Find a Family Restroom: These are a lifesaver! I always recommend locating a family-style restroom, locking the door, and laying out a few of the potty pads I’ve provided. It gives your puppy a clean, contained space to explore, stretch, and play safely.

  • Short Playtime = Better Flight: Puppies at this age usually have about 20 minutes of energy in them — then they’re ready to snooze for several hours. Keeping them awake and playful before your flight helps them sleep peacefully once you’re in the air.

  • If That’s Not Possible: Look for a quiet corner away from heavy foot traffic. Spread out a few potty pads so puppy can sit, chew, or play without touching the airport floor.

A little playtime before takeoff goes a long way toward a calm, quiet flight home — for both of you! ✈️🐾
